What a fantastic way to officially open our greens and kick off another exciting bowls season!
The day started with a special opening ceremony, featuring the stirring sound of bagpipes and the National Anthem.
We welcomed our 80+ players, our Under-15 bowlers, and our dedicated greenkeeping staff onto the green for the ceremonial first bowl delivery.
We were especially honoured to have the presence of South Africa’s oldest active bowler, 101-year-old Oom Johan, together with our youngest PHSOB bowler 13-year-old Ewan, representing the wonderful span of generations that make PHSOB Bowls so special.
And then it was time to get onto the greens for a fun-filled Tabs game!
Here’s to a fantastic season ahead – good bowls, great friendships and plenty of memories at PHSOB!
