PHSOB Bowls Club proudly congratulates all players, managers, and representatives who took part in the recent Junior Nationals held in Bloemfontein. Hosted at the facilities of Orangia and Oud Studente Bowls Clubs, the tournament – organised under the guidance of Bowls South Africa (BSA) – once again showcased the incredible depth of young bowling talent across the country.
A special congratulations goes to our very own Ewan McSeveney and team manager Gideon Botha, who delivered an exceptional performance in the Under 15 category. After finishing 1st in their section, they went on to secure a well-deserved bronze medal – a fantastic achievement and a testament to their hard work and dedication.
We also commend Amy Espach and Wian van Niekerk for their participation in the Under 18 division, proudly representing both PHSOB and the broader bowling community with determination and sportsmanship.
In the Under 25 category, congratulations to Brandon Vahey and Faf Coertze, along with managers Kevin Lombard and Riaan Coertze, for their efforts and commitment throughout the competition.
A big shout-out must also go to all players and managers representing Bowls Gauteng North (BGN), who contributed to a successful campaign overall. In particular, we celebrate the BGN Under 15 A & B teams for both securing bronze medals—a remarkable accomplishment that highlights the strength of junior bowls development in the region.
Well done to all participants – you have made your clubs and provinces proud. We look forward to seeing what the future holds for each of you on the greens!
